Year 12 Induction

What an incredible start to the year as we welcome over 250 new students to our Sixth Form from 52 different schools.

At Pate’s, Sixth Form is about so much more than academic success. It’s about embracing new opportunities, building confidence, forming lasting friendships, and discovering new passions. We encourage all our students to get involved, challenge themselves, and make the most of everything on offer.

With outstanding academic opportunities alongside a rich and diverse co-curricular programme, there is something for everyone as they begin their Pate’s journey.

My favourite part of Induction was the play that we created. It was a really fun experience. It allowed us to mess around and to get to know everyone better and see what they're like outside the classroom.

I am looking forward to the new experiences that Sixth Form has to offer me. I hope to get to know the new students and build meaningful friendships that will support me throughout my time in Sixth Form and hopefully continue to have a lasting impact on my life. I hope my Sixth Form will be filled with fond memories that I can look back to for years to come.  Sai.

My favourite part of the induction was the Wizard of Oz production on the indoor day that we had to put on in small groups. I had great fun working with a team of new people I haven't had the chance to speak to before, and I really enjoyed the creative process of working as a group to adapt a play into a shorter, two-minute production. It was chaotic, engaging and really rewarding.  

Some things that I have gained from the induction is that I feel incredibly prepared for the year ahead, and the prospect of Pate's Sixth form is much less daunting than it was at the start of the year, and has allowed me the opportunity to take the initiative in getting to know new people and form valuable friendships. Toby.
